Education for Ministry (EfM)

Wednesdays, 7:30 to 10:00 p.m.
September through May

The Education for Ministry (EfM) program, directed by the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee, is designed to develop theologically informed, knowledgeable lay leaders at the parish level. In more than 1,000 locations worldwide, members sign up one year at a time for the four-year program which covers, respectively, the Old Testament, the New Testament, Church History, and Theology. The St. Francis EfM group meets Wednesday evenings from September through May, usually in the church undercroft (read, basement). The key to success in the program is found in each small group, which develops a strong sense of community in sharing knowledge, insights and worship.
