Worship

Services

Worship is at the heart of all we do.

Welcome to St. Francis. We invite you to worship with us and to return often. Beginning May 26th, we worship Sundays at 8:00 & 10:00 o'clock.

8:00 am — Holy Eucharist, with homily

A quiet service in the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer.

10:00 am — Holy Eucharist,+ with music and sermon

O

ur principal service, the 10 o'clock includes hymns, sermon, and music with the Saint Francis choirs. The 10 o'clock is the service most popular with families and children, and it attracts our largest congregation. Professional childcare is provided in the Cribbery in the building adjacent to the church.

In the Episcopal Church worship is choreographed. Every person in the congregation — not just the clergy — has lines to speak. The liturgy is a kind of dance. If you're new to an Anglican service, it may seem as if you're at a dance where everyone knows the steps but you. Be patient. Chances are, two of the three people nearest you in the pew were once as new to the liturgy as you are. They learned the choreography. At Saint Francis you'll find the person next to you glad discreetly to assist you in learning the steps, making you feel welcome and at home.
